why build the userspace for platforms without the kmp? couldnt we just excludearch those?

This is uninstallable:

can't install openafs-fuse_client-1.8.0~pre5-8.4.x86_64:
  package openafs-krb5-mit-1.8.0~pre5-8.4.x86_64 requires openafs-client = 1.8.0~pre5, but none of the providers can be installed
  package openafs-fuse_client-1.8.0~pre5-8.4.x86_64 requires openafs-krb5-mit = 1.8.0~pre5, but none of the providers can be installed
  package openafs-fuse_client-1.8.0~pre5-8.4.x86_64 conflicts with openafs-client provided by openafs-client-1.8.0~pre5-8.4.x86_64
