This can lead to errors if duplicates are identified across typical partition boundaries, as fdupes by default creates hard links, which in turn can't span partitions.

Files in /lib? That would be counter the /usr-merge initiative (might have been missed when the package was introduced recently); let alone that /lib is only for 32bit libraries, and not for 64bit.
No, no files in /lib except for the KMP. Will remove this.
