I tested this all day today. Enabling ZGC seems to have no effect on regular java 11 behavior. Further, enabling and using the garbage collector worked well, and ran a 3 hour benchmark with no problems.

I only enabled the flag for x86_64 cause ZGC is only being built in to x86_64 versions of openjdk made by oracle
