Well then please upstream the patch or at least get some statement from them why it is not acceptable there.

Sorry for delay with answer.
The patch is required not to bloat rpmlint-mini by pulling python-pdb and the rest huge things required by construct.debug module.
In theory we could move the patch to rpmlint-mini package if they maintainers are ok with it.
