Please do not point to github forks to fetch patches, we refetch all the sources on submissions and validate them, thus your submission would become invalid at the point when your fork is deleted, You can point to pullrequests tho, as there it is not deleted.
my forks are more reliable than the original, as the MR will change, and all commits in it except that final ones will die, but that sha will still exist on my fork.
and again, this will be merged and released and the patch unnecessary long before the problem you are aiming to avoid.
