The Google Chromium webbrowser has been living for a long time in the Contrib repositories and have build up in popularity. As that the intention is that the Contrib repositories will slowly disappear Chromium was moved to it's own place in the openSUSE OBS universe (network:chromium). I believe that Chromium as a webbrowser is mature enough to be included in openSUSE:Factory especially looking at it's popularity. The package itself is following the Fedora/Red Hat setup and the legally doubtful pieces are stripped from the original source.
