Any reason not to use the upstream provided tarball? This is generally preferred, as it allows to easily verify that tarballs aren't tampered with and no code difference compared to upstream submitted
I would love to use that source URL but something has changed with direct downloads from gitlab.com ...

works fine with Firefox/Chromium/...
but throws an 403 when you try to download via curl/wget/obs-service-download_files. As soon as you change the user-agent it can also be downloaded via those tools:

Indeed - really strange. The download works fine on a hosted server (Hetzner) but not from my DSL dialup at home provided by "T-Online Germany" sigh
