We don't build for RHEL6 and SLE-11 is unresolvable
anyway because it only has python-2.6
So shouldnt we keep the code simpler and drop the whole nopython3 logic?
https://access.redhat.com/discussions/2399461 says RHEL6 went EOL in 2020 and https://www.suse.com/lifecycle/ says SLE-11-SP4 expired in 2019 (LTSS also ends next spring)
RHEL7 is also affected (hence the <= 700). I was just trying to accomodate as much build targets of the present set as possible. OTOH I do not know if anybody wants to use this service on those distributions.
See revision 15 for the simplified code. Should I supersede?
