I guess "Supplements: fcitx5" should be replaced with "Requires: fcitx5". Then fcitx5 conflicts with fcitx4 in the package level, hence the file conflicts can be avoided practically.
nope - we intentionally calculate file conflicts and rpm/metatata conflicts only on package level, not on transient dependencies. There are way too many cases where a Requires can be provided by multiple packages which either do or do not solve the issue.
Hence:
fcitx5-chinese-addons need to declare a conflict to fcitx
