Involved Projects and Packages
This project will closely follow upstream developement of R (www.r-project.org), one of the most used and most useful languages for statistical analysis and graphics.
The core language is contained in the sub-project base.
All other subprojects will contain single contributed R-packages extending the capabilities
of core R. These will be created as time permits. In the long term all packages on CRAN shall be in sync with this repository.
This repo contains a large part of CRAN automatically converted to rpm packages.
*ALL* packages in the repo are created and kept uptodate(!) in a fully automatic way using the R package CRAN2OBS (gitlab.com/dsteuer/CRAN2OBS).
At the moment CRAN2OBS is still subject to many changes, but it already works well enough to bring about 15k packages from CRAN to Suse.
If you find packages not working, please contact me. Do not push packages here by hand after manually altering anything in a spec file, please. If you find an important package still missing, send a note, please. May be it is easy to add fitting rules to the scripts.
Attention: there are Prefer: lines in the project config. Should be rechecked from time to time.
autoCRANsupp contains *only*
- libraries needed to build a worthy number of R packages that are not in factory/tumbleweed, i.e. udunits2-1
- a link to d:l:R:released/R-base to provide newer versions for older SuSE releases. A lot of packages need the latest R.
This project will be as small as possible.
In a best case scenario only R-base will remain here to be included for building autoCRAN.

This Project contains the latest R-base package for OpenSUSE and SLE releases. It is a devel project, i.e. R-base is submitted to Factory.
The CRAN packages are build with the current released R.
You are invited to add further packages from R. You can use R2spec to generate spec files. If the package works somewhere you can submit it for inclusion in d:l:R:released.
Please: Don't include the 'R CMD check' section of the packages in the spec file. Extensive checking is done in CRAN. We had problems with circular dependencies when tests are included.
At the moment, please, don't split packages up, even if rpmlint complains. On the R side package dependencies don't know about the concept of devel packages, so it would become harder to track dependencies on both sides.

RKWard aims to provide an easily extensible, easy to use IDE/GUI for the
R-project. RKWard tries to combine the power of the R-language with the
(relative) ease of use of commercial statistics tools. Long term plans
include integration with office suites

Remind is a sophisticated calendar and alarm program.
It includes the following features:

want to learn the scripting language.
* Facilities for both the Gregorian and Hebrew calendars.

Wyrd is a text-based front-end to Remind, a sophisticated calendar and alarm
program. Remind's power lies in its programmability, and Wyrd does not hide
this capability behind flashy GUI dialogs. Rather, Wyrd is designed to make you
more efficient at editing your reminder files directly. It also offers a
scrollable timetable suitable for visualizing your schedule at a glance.
Unlike most of the calendar applications available today, Wyrd is designed to
be both lightweight and fast. Startup time is negligible, UI navigation is
instantaneous, and the wyrd process typically consumes less than 2MB of
resident memory.
