the Postfish is a digital audio post-processing, restoration, filtering
and mixdown tool. It works as a linear audio filter, much like a rack
of analog effects. The first stage of the filter pipeline provides a
bank of configurable per-channel processing filters for up to 32 input
channels. The second stage provides mixdown of the processed input
audio into a group of up to eight output channels. The third stage
applies processing filters to the output group post-mixdown.

The Ethiopic script is used for writing many of the languages of
Ethiopia and Eritrea. Ethiopic (U+1200..U+137F) was added to Unicode
3.0. Ethiopic Supplement (U+1380..U+139F) and Ethiopic Extended
(U+2D80..U+2DDF) were added to Unicode 4.1. Abyssinica SIL supports all
Ethiopic characters which are in Unicode including the Unicode 4.1
extensions. Some languages of Ethiopia are not yet able to be fully
represented in Unicode and, where necessary, we have included
non-Unicode characters in the Private Use Area (see Private-use (PUA)
characters supported by Abyssinica SIL).
Abyssinica SIL is based on Ethiopic calligraphic traditions. This
release is a regular typeface, with no bold or italic version available
or planned.
Charis is similar to Bitstream Charter, one of the first fonts designed
specifically for laser printers. It is highly readable and holds up
well in less-than-ideal reproduction environments. It also has a full
set of styles - regular, italic, bold, bold italic - and so is more
useful in general publishing than Doulos SIL. Charis is a serif,
proportionally-spaced font optimized for readability in long printed
documents.
The goal for this product was to provide a single Unicode-based font
family that would contain a comprehensive inventory of glyphs needed
for almost any Roman- or Cyrillic-based writing system, whether used
for phonetic or orthographic needs. In addition, there is provision for
other characters and symbols useful to linguists. This font makes use
of state-of-the-art font technologies to support complex typographic
issues, such as the need to position arbitrary combinations of base
glyphs and diacritics optimally.
Doulos SIL provides glyphs for a wide range of Latin and Cyrillic
characters. Doulos's design is similar to the design of the Times-like
fonts, but only has a single regular face. It is intended for use alongside
other Times-like fonts where a range of styles (italic, bold) are not
needed.
Gentium is a typeface family designed to enable the diverse ethnic
groups around the world who use the Latin script to produce readable,
high-quality publications. It supports a wide range of Latin-based
alphabets and includes glyphs that correspond to all the Latin ranges
of Unicode.
As part of the Unicode development effort, the encoding for the Myanmar
script is being extended. These changes are being voted on as part of a
PDAM and as such fonts that support these encoding extensions are not
officially Unicode compliant with any current version of Unicode.
Padauk conforms to the proposed extensions in anticipation of their
being accepted into the Unicode standard.
Users wishing to find a font capable of supporting Unicode data today
should look elsewhere. They should also be made aware that assuming the
extensions are accepted into Unicode, then they will need to transcode
their data to continue to be conforming.
Padauk supports the Myanmar script extensions including changes to how
Burmese is encoded, Sgaw Karen and Mon. Padauk continues to be
developed so should you find problems with the font, please send
feedback to SIL_fonts@sil.org. Requirements
Padauk includes the necessary Graphite smarts to render Myanmar script
correctly. Thus if you want to use this font you will need the Graphite
libraries and Graphite capable applications or graphics extensions.
Terminus Font is designed for long (8 and more hours per day) work with
computers. Version 4.03 contains 538 characters, covering code pages
ISO8859-1/2/5/9/15/16, Windows-1250/1251/1252/1254,
IBM-437/852/855/866, KOI8-R/U/E/F, Bulgarian-MIK, Paratype-PT154/PT254
and Macintosh-Ukrainian, and also the vt100 and xterm pseudographic
characters.
The sizes and styles present are 8x14-normal, 8x14-bold,
8x14-EGA/VGA-bold, 8x16-normal, 8x16-bold, 8x16-EGA/VGA-bold,
10x20-normal, 10x20-bold, 12x24-normal, 12x24-bold and 14x28-normal
(which's weight is actually between normal and bold).
Tempora LGC Unicode is a font family, designed to provide a free
typeface suitable for word processing in languages which use 3 European
alphabets: Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. It may be especially useful for
philologists (mainly slavists and classicists), since it supports
historical Cyrillic letters available in the Unicode standard (including
letters used in Russian pre-1918 orthography) as well as all accented
combinations and additional characters needed for fully accented Greek
(both classical and modern). Tempora LGC Unicode is a "smart" font,
intended to demonstrate nicities of the OpenType technologie, applicable
to European scripts.

This package includes some X Window System bitmap fonts for TV
applications: large fonts frequently used in on-screen displays,
teletext font, and more.
Unidings contains glyphs that may be used in a Last Resort font, as well as icon glyphs for control and special characters, encoded in F200..F3B4 and F400..F5B4 of the Private Use Area in BMP. Block names are from “Roadmaps, a snapshot as of 2011-05-30”, http://std.dkuug.dk/JTC1/SC2/WG2/docs/n4056.htm
This package provides "VLGothic" Japanese TrueType fonts which are
based on the M+ fonts and the Sazanami fonts.
From the Vollkorn webpage:
Vollkorn intends to be a quiet, modest, and well working text face.
It has dark and meaty serifs and a bouncing and healthy look.
It might be used as body type as well as for headlines or titles.
»Vollkorn« (pronounced »Follkorn«) is German for »wholemeal«
which refers to the old term »Brotschrift«.
Wen Quan Yi Bitmap Song CJK Fonts
文泉驿点阵字
WenQuanYi Micro Hei font family is a Sans-Serif style (also known as Hei,
Gothic or Dotum among the Chinese/Japanese/Korean users) high quality
CJK outline font. It was derived from "Droid Sans Fallback", "Droid
Sans" and "Droid Sans Mono" released by Google Corp. This font package
contains two faces, "Micro Hei" and "Micro Hei Mono", in form of a
True-Type Collection (ttc) file. All the unified CJK Han glyphs, i.e.
GBK Hanzi, in the range of U+4E00-U+9FC3 defined in Unicode Standard 5.1
are covered, with additional support to many other international
languages such as Latin, Extended Latin, Hanguls and Kanas. The font
file is extremely compact (~5M) compared with most known CJK fonts.
As a result, it can be used for hand-held devices or embedded systems, or
used on PC with a significantly small memory footprint. Because both
font faces carry hinting and kerning instructions for Latin glyphs,
they are the excellent choices for desktop fonts.
The WenQuanYi Zen Hei is the first open-source Chinese font
for Hei Ti, a sans-serif font style that are widely used for
general purpose text formatting, and on-screen
display of Chinese characters (such as in Windows Vista and Mac OS).
Simple and elegant font outlines and slightly emboldened strokes
makes the glyphs presenting higher contrast and therefore easy
to read. The unique style of this font also provide a simple
interface for adding grid-fitting information for further
fine-tuning of the on-screen performance.
WenQuanYi Zen Hei contains arguably the largest number of Chinese
Hanzi glyphs of all known open-source outline Chinese fonts: it has
20194 Hanzi glyphs covering 97% of the Unicode CJK Unified
Ideographics [4]. This font provides full coverage to the required
code points for zh_cn, zh_sg, zh_tw, zh_hk and zh_mo locales. The
total vector glyphs in this font is over 35000 including Latin characters,
Japanese kanas, hanguls and symbols from many other languages.
Highly regarded WenQuanYi Bitmap Song fonts were embedded into this
font for those who prefer shaper look of the text rendering, The
embedded bitmap glyphs cover font sizes at 9pt, 10pt, 11pt
and 12pt.
The primary purpose of developing this font is to provide CJK
(Chinese-Japanese-Korean) users a visually pleasing, standard
compliant, platform independent and compact solution for displaying
and printing Chinese on their computers.
We wish you enjoying the font, and joining us to continuously
improve this font for better performance and wider applications.
