Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. The emphasis is on libraries that work well with the C++ Standard Library. One goal is to establish "existing practice" and provide reference implementations so that the Boost libraries are suitable for eventual standardization. Some of the libraries have already been proposed for inclusion in the C++ Standards Committee's upcoming C++ Standard Library Technical Report.
Although Boost was begun by members of the C++ Standards Committee Library Working Group, membership has expanded to include thousands of members of the C++ community at large.

ALGLIB is a project aimed at creating a convenient and efficient
multilingual scientific software library. This package contains the
interpolation routines.
This directory, bibextract, contains UNIX shell and awk programs for
extracting citation tags from LaTeX source and .aux files, and for
using those tags to extract bibliography entries from a list of BibTeX
.bib files.
Jean-Luc Vinot, an interface designer at CENA, has a background i
n the graphics arts and typography. He has produced a series of fonts designed f
or ATC displays: the Orly fonts. These fonts were volunteered by CENA under the
LGPL license.
The newer Bleriot Fonts are a replacement to the Orly fonts.
Please note: the Orly fonts are screen fonts for radar displays. They are not su
itable for typesetting documents nor for multi-purpose applications.

The Virtual-Reality Peripheral Network (VRPN) is a set of classes
within a library and a set of servers that are designed to implement a
network-transparent interface between application programs and the set
of physical devices (tracker, etc.) used in a virtual-reality (VR)
system. The idea is to have a PC or other host at each VR station that
controls the peripherals (tracker, button device, haptic device,
analog inputs, sound, etc). VRPN provides connections between the
application and all of the devices using the appropriate
class-of-service for each type of device sharing this link. The
application remains unaware of the network topology. Note that it is
possible to use VRPN with devices that are directly connected to the
machine that the application is running on, either using separate
control programs or running all as a single program.
