GPSBabel converts waypoints, tracks, and routes from one format to another, whether that format is a common mapping format like Delorme, Streets and Trips, or even a serial upload or download to a GPS unit such as those from Garmin and Magellan. By flattening the Tower of Babel that the authors of various programs for manipulating GPS data have imposed upon us, it returns to us the ability to freely move our own waypoint data between the programs and hardware we choose to use.

It contains extensive data manipulation abilities making it a convenient for server-side processing or as the backend for other tools.

It does not convert, transfer, send, or manipulate maps. We process data that may (or may not be) placed on a map, such as waypoints, tracks, and routes.

A commandline tool to synchronize a gps (gpx) tracklog with the date/time stamps of the image exif-data

gpsPhoto geotags digital photos by using GPS track data recorded at the same time. Matches are based on closest timestamps. An optionally generated Google Earth KML or KMZ file contains the GPS tracks and the geotagged photos.

The purpose of this tool is to allow a hiker to record a GPS tracklog or waypoints and later (at home) synchronize this GPS data with the timestamps of the image exif data of his digital camera, in order to locate and store the position where the picture was taken. The tool writes coordinates, altitude and additional metadata to the Exif and IPTC metadata section of jpeg, nef and potentially other file formats.
Optionally, a Google Earth kml file is created containing the gps tracklog and the image positions.

MTKBabel is a Perl program to operate the i-Blue 747 GPS data logger.
It should work also with other GPS devices based on the MediaTek MTK
chipset.

The main capabilities are:

* Command line interface
* Save data log in GPX and raw binary format
* If required retrieve all the data, also the old one being overlapped
* Change logging criteria: time, distance, speed
* Change log format
* START/STOP logging
* Set OVERLAP or STOP method on memory full
* Erase the internal memory

The program is written in Perl, and it was tested on Linux via USB
connection. One goal is easy portability to C and small RAM footprint.

Viking is a free/open source program to manage GPS data. You can import, plot and create tracks and waypoints, show OSM, Terraserver and other maps, see real-time GPS position, get geocaches, control items, etc. It is written in C & the GTK+2 toolkit.

Lha is a packer comparable to ZIP (PKZIP), ZOO, and others. It has been
included for compatibility reasons only. Use GZIP for general archiving
purposes, because it is the standard for Linux.

Lhasa is a replacement for the Unix LHA tool, for decompressing
".lzh" (LHA/LHarc) and ".lzs" (LArc) archives.

Template branding project, which can be used as a start point for all other branding projects. It is technically equal to openSUSE branding packages, but it has more permissive license.

Example branding deliberately uses ugly "SPECIMEN" background.

This package contains the file /etc/SuSE-brand, and its name is used as a trigger for installation of correct vendor brand packages.

Branding package example for the GIMP.

Packages in this subpackage contains sets of wallpapers of backgrounds integrated with GNOME and KDE desktops.

Propaganda, at its core, is basically a collection of "seamless tiles". Graphics which are drawn in such a way that they do not appear to repeat at the edges. All the graphics for Propaganda are drawn with GIMP, an excellent paint program also made available under the GNU GPL. Propaganda tiles are painted in a wide variety of styles, textures and sizes, making them ideal for use in 3D applications, or simply as desktop wallpaper.
